PICK A MOVEMENT, A PHRASE, OR
RE-INTERPRET. We Invite You To Participate In The Concert For The Planet.

EARTH HOUR MARCH 24TH, 8.30pm (7.30pm QLD) 2018.

Through the act of coming together to play music, the annual Concert of the Planet marks our global commitment to listen to each other and our planets needs.

BE A PLAYER, A LISTENER OR AN ORGANISER

We've made playing along on the night as easy as possible, even for non- musicians.

What Part Will You Play For The Planet?

The Concert for the Planet is a mass participation, multi location, simultaneous performance of  Holst’s “The Planets”. On the count down to Earth Hour, direct from HOTA, Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast, we  broadcast a live stream of the performance which includes live crosses to NASA, satellite events in other parts of the world along with your performance if you join in via Facebook Live.

Everyone, anywhere on the planet can play along to the music.

Play you part and join us in this stellar performance as we form the Global Orchestra.

Watch the video to find out how you can join in.

One of our Ambassadors Monica Trapaga teaches us how to play along to Mars using ordinary household objects also on this page.

If you are playing along you’ll need to see Lachlan Snow on Conductor-Cam, which can be found www.globalorchestra.com/livestream-1 both during the dress rehearsal, Thursday 22 March 7pm (QLD) and on Saturday 24 March 7pm (QLD). Conductor-Cam will also be available from Facebook.

If you are considering playing along please join the Global Orchestra  so we can send the most up to date information and you can appear on the map so we know who's part of our online orchestra.

If you're looking for inspiration for a non tradition instrument you can also see clips and other recordings from talented musicians and ensembles from around the globe and create something of your own to play along on the night.

We created our very own piece of technology called Conductor-Cam. Watch the video to learn how our performances will be synchronised together during the Concert for the Planet.
